George's Painting Tips

I've tried many different ways to paint eyes.

This is the easiest way that I've been able to paint eyes.

• Paint the eyes white or off-white. Don't bother trying to stay in the lines.
• Paint a line down the middle of the eyes or off to the side if you want them looking left or right. Use the color you want their eyes to be. Dark colors seem to look best.
• Paint around the eyes to shape them with a dark brown or black.
• Paint the flesh using the base color or shadow color to shape the eyelashes.
• If you normally wash your flesh, be careful to not get the flesh wash in the eyes. If you used the shadow color for your flesh, drybrush the face to bring out the rest of the detail.
