Welcome to the Gimlet Association 21st Infantry Regiment Website
This website is proudly dedicated to all Gimlets, especially those Gimlets who have paid the ultimate price for peace, freedom and the American way of life. We honor them and their sacrifice. To all Gimlets, past and present, who served honorably with or attached operationally to the 21st Infantry Regiment (Gimlet) during peacetime or war and continue serving today, "Hooah."
The Gimlet Association 21st Infantry Regiment is open to current active duty personnel and past members of the 21st Infantry Regiment (Gimlet) who saw service during peacetime or war. An “Associate Member” is a direct family member, surviving spouse/parent(s) of an active duty Gimlet who served with the 21st Infantry Regiment (Gimlet) and was Killed In Action, Missing In Action (remains not recovered), or a person (limited) who has performed above and beyond for the betterment of the association.
The purpose of the Gimlet Association is to reunite and honor Gimlets, past and present, honor fallen comrades, promote Gimlet Brotherhood and Camaraderie between former Gimlets and Gimlets that proudly serve today, while all work together towards preserving the proud heritage and all the rich traditions of the 21st Infantry Regiment (Gimlet).
Contact the association for a membership packet and enrollment form. You may be request the packet electronically or by US Postal mail service from Gimlet Association 21st Infantry Headquarters. Electronic enrollment requests may be made via E-mail: gimletmembership21@yahoo.com then returned electronically or via USPS mail to Gimletmail, PO Box 661977, Sacramento, CA 95866-1977. USPS requests should be directed to GimletMembership at the Association Headquarters. All Gimlets serving on active status and in overseas theaters of operation are automatically members of the association under Master Membership documents and applicable number issued to the commander of each operational Gimlet unit to which they are assigned or attached thereto and remain so for the duration thereof.
Initial membership places the member in good standing in the Gimlet Association 21st Infantry and in the Association’s database. Once a Gimlet Brother receives a welcome membership letter or membership e-mail with an association registration number on it the new Gimlet Association member becomes a member in good standing. An official membership card with a personal association registration/identification number will be mailed to all members at a later date. Active duty personnel fall under master, numbered, membership letters issued to Commanders of 21st Infantry Battalions and subordinate commands until such time as individuals are released from 21st Infantry units, PCS, or leave active military service.
Bonds of Brotherhood
The Bonds of Brotherhood are eternal in strenght; don’t lose touch with your Gimlet brothers with which you proudly served. Only soldiers who have shared the military experience of serving together in one of the branches of American’s armed forces are aware of the fraternal Bonds of Brotherhood that bind them together for eternity. Soldiers who have endured the rigors of military training and shared the trials of combat are tied together forever by a special bond. Gimlets of the 21st Infantry Regiment share an everlasting bond: Gimlet Brotherhood. There is something special about Gimlet Brotherhood that only Gimlets share. The saying goes in the 21st Infantry Regiment (Gimlet), “Once a Gimlet, always a Gimlet.” And that is true throughout a Gimlet’s life and into death. The bond is an eternal one.
Bore Brother Bore!
