Knitted Santa Baby Bib

Yarns used:
1 small skein each red, black and white Red Heart worsted weight
1 ball Lion Brand Fun Fur
Size 7 needles
Size G crochet hook

To cast on loosely but neatly, cast on tightly over two needles, then pull the second needle out to knit the first row.

Cast on 35 stitches
Rows 1 through 4: Knit 4 rows
Row 5: Knit 2, purl 31, knit last two stitches
Row 6: Knit 1 row
Rows 7 through 11: Repeat rows 5 and 6 ending with a purl row. Drop red.
Rows 12 through 19: Join black and repeat rows 5 and 6 ending with a purl row. Drop black.
Rows 20 through 35: Join red. Repeat rows 5 and 6 ending with a purl row. Drop red.
Join white Red Heart and white Fun Fur, holding 2 yarns as 1. For all proceeding rows, knit 1 stitch, knit 2 together, then knit across. White portion will be in garter stitch. Each row will decrease one stitch.
Continuing decreasing each row until 25 stitches remain.
On next row, knit 1, knit 2 together, knit 7, bind off next 5 stitches, knit 10.

***First side: Knit 1, knit 2 together, knit across (but not going past bound off stitches). Continue in this pattern decreasing every row until 2 stitches are left. Knit these two together then break off the fur leaving white Red Heart yarn. Using a crochet needle, chain 40 with white Red Heart. Turn and slip stitch in second chain from hook and in every chain back to the fur section. Finish off and weave in ends.

Go back to 10 stitches remaining on the need and complete this side as above from ***.

If desired, crochet around edges of red and balck sections with red yarn. Weave in all ends.
