These little creatures are some of the things that I make to suppliment my figurative sculpture habit! I sell them on a popluar auction site! Each tiny figure is a one of a kind that has been designed by me. They each have a wire armature that is re-enforced for added strength and are sculpted out of polymer clay. Each has hand dyed hair made of high quality mohair. Their features are delicately handpainted.

Hot Summer's Day

She was inspired by a faery that I did back when I first started making them. This is a larger and better version! Her wing are made of printer's vellum and then coated in liquid polymer clay. Her umbrella is a cocktail umbrella that had been repainted to create the illusion that it was vinyl. Her sunglasses were made of wire and dipped to form the lenses. Her bathing suit is made from a paper doily! Her "ice cube" is a glass cube and the puddle is a special technique I developed. She is in a private collection.

Searching for Spring

This faery started out with different wings and coloring..........I didn't like the way she came out so I changed her. Sometimes the little things have a mind of their own! She is about four inches from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. She is wearing an outfit made of silk gauze that has been decorated with irridecent glitter and crystal beads.

She is one of my favorites! I think that she is one of the best that I have made..........and one of my best lessons learned shipping faeries! Her elegant long wings were a once in a life time idea! They really added a demension to the figure that made her shine! And her fur rug was the perfect touch! She is in a private collection.
