He called her Rachel

When He sent her to us,

And now

He has called her to come home.

After only 16 short years on earth,

Through her giving of love and laughter,

Joy and compassion,

Rachel has already earned her angel wings.

A wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend.

A cheerleader. A dancer.

A light leading the way.

An angel .. dancing in Heaven.

She was truly a special angel to us. I would like to share

something Rachel had written last September with all of you.

'Life is too short to be little. People look at other's lives and say they are not as good as that person,

and spend their whole life thinking that they're nothing; that they're not important.

Life is too short to put yourself down like that.

If you can't be a star in the sky, be a candle. I think this is very important.

If you don't achieve something really big that might affect people's lives,

just complete little things that can affect people's lives in big ways.

When I am gone, I think people will say good things about me.

I get along with everyone and I have a positive attitude toward things.

So, I think people would talk about how I treated others.

. what I did during my life and what I had going for me.

Hopefully, people would say kind things about me.

I think people would say that I was a nice, kind girl'.
