Advanced Praise for Desert Hours
by Poet Marian Olson

“A first-rate collection.”—Charles Trumbull, editor Modern Haiku

Santa Fe, NM—In her latest poetry collection Desert Hours, award-winning author Marian Olson draws from intimate impressions of New Mexico, including observations honoring the Hispanic and Native American cultures of the Southwest. The book is a “paean to a land that has nourished me in all ways imaginable,” says Olson. “The poetic forms of haiku and senryu are the perfect vehicles to convey it because their very sparseness is like the desert itself.”

“The cumulative effect of these short lines and vivid moments is a beautiful, haunting Vision.”—Michael McClintock, editor The New American Imagist series (Hermitage West)
“Her sense of place is potent.”—Anita Virgil, past president of the Haiku Society of America
