Bernard Wrigley's Web Site

Never heard of him? Nether had I but, hey, he's a lot richer than me and NOBODY'S heard of me! Apart from being somewhat of an expert on monologues and alike, he sings and has also appeared in such programs as Coronation Street, Dinner Ladies and Coogans Bluff not to mention great films like Brassed Off (one of my favourite films!). Although I am not familiar with his work, I know people who are and they reckon he's the bee-knees so pay him a visit and let me know what you think!

Sensa Yuma - Click here to read some of Stan's poems.

Nope, it's not a site dedicated to Sumo Wrestling but a VERY funny site containing poems and humourous monologues by a 'bloke' who goes by the name of Stanley Brown from Lancashire, England. This site and poetry REALLY appealed to my sense of humour and brought back memories of people like Stanley Holloway and Mike Harding. If you REALLY need a laugh, VISIT!

An excellent and well presented site featuring a wide variety of contemporary poetry, including poets from around the world--from famous faces to burgeoning beginners. Accepting submissions at present. Also has some great links.

Cardboard and String - Spike Milligan

One of the main influences in my 'young life' was Spike Milligan who, apart from being, in my opinion, one of the funniest men alive (along with the late, great Peter Sellers), wrote some of the 'silliest' and most hilarious poetry I've ever read (some of which I am hoping to include in my 'other people's poems' section). This is one of the best 'tribute' sites I've seen. If you like to laugh ... go HERE!

If you haven't yet been or are planning a trip to the UK, make sure THIS is one place on your list!

Bayou Tales by Mariana Titus

Mariana's books are a collection of anecdotes told by today’s Bayou People, influenced by the modern world but still guided by the spirit of their nature-loving ancestors. Black and white photographs of storytellers, listeners and their soulful environs complement the text. The reader is left to mix these conversational, poetic and graphic ingredients together like the oil, flour and seasoning of a flavorful roux.

Great for planning that 'unusual' holiday experience! This site also has some GREAT links like Restin' Pete's Discount Burial Barn (see 'link below and other peoples poems sections') and the now infamous Death Clock (link below) which tells you when you're going to DIE (Wednesday, April 13, 2033 in MY case apparently!).

Restin' Pete's Discount Burial Barn

As we say here in England ... 'Only in AMERICA'. Go to Pete's for discount burial goods. I just LOVE this site. The 'coffin/casket' section says 'from Great to CRATE' for example. THIS is more like it! I WISH I lived in the Good old USofA!

THE DEATH CLOCK

Put in some details such as you birth date and it will tell you when your DEATH date will be! Dare you try it?

Corpses for sale!

Nope, this is NOT a joke. These people will 'hand-craft' some VERY realistic corpses (I should know, I've seen THOUSANDS of the 'real thing') or just PART of one. What the hell you'd WANT one for is not for me to ask! The 'Corpse Gallery' is a REAL hoot! WEIRD!

Death Valley - Home of the Undertaker

OK, so his ex - 'manager' stole my nickname but you just HAVE to respect a fellow undertaker especially when he's nearly SEVEN FEET TALL. This particular 'fellow colleague' is the AWESOME Undertaker of WWF fame (Wrestling, in case you didn't know). I saw him during his UK tour in Brighton. You call him the Undertaker. I'll just call him ... SIR!
