Habitat:
If you want to have a green anole there are few very important things to have:
* You must have at least have a 10-gallon tank. If it is bigger that is fine, but no smaller unless you have a death wish for the little chaps. Also you need a screen or these guys will climb out and escape. *
* You also need some plants, artificial or natural, though natural adds a nicer look to your terrarium. You can also add things like heating rocks and a hammock. Anoles also like to have a lot of small limbs to climb on and rest on.*
* You must mist the walls of your terrarium 1-2 times per day. *
*The anoles can live in the summer without UVB (Ultra Violet Bulb), but in the winter you need to have it for them so they stay active. When they aren't active they tend not to eat and they might starve. You should have the whole tank at about 78-85 degrees Fahrenheit. You should also have one "hot spot" that is hotter than 90 degrees.

When male green anoles are angry,
territorial, or trying to court
a female, he will display a red dewlap
from his throat almost like a fan.

Breeding:
If you want your green anoles to breed here are a few pointers:
* Put something soft in the tank that the female can bury her eggs in, like a piece of soft moss or a piece of wood that she can put her eggs under. *
* Of course, make sure you have a male and a female. The males are much bigger and have a bigger head. Don't have two males and a female because they will fight each other. *
* Don't stress them out by taking them out of the terrarium a lot. You can tell if they are stressed if they have black spots behind their eyes. *
* If the female does lay an egg it should be about 3/8 of an inch long. If you see one take it out because the male might eat the baby once it hatches. Put it somewhere out of direct sunlight. It should hatch 35-40 days later at 80-85 degrees.

Food and feeding:
Your green anoles may eat the following:
* Crickets, put as many as you want in. You might want to dust them in a vitamin powder for nutrients. I don't think it really is important. *
* Baby food and fruit puree may be good for a diet supplement. It doesn't work for many anoles, including mine. *
