These are my progeny. A whole population of indivdual characters born in paint and yet all just me. With each new birth I realize another piece of my personal puzzle. Creating a painting and watching it magically come to life is such a joyous imitation of the Creator - the celebration of life. And there is no end to this work. I can paint until I drop and still not exhaust the infinite possibilities - such is the wonder of painting. Include in this small sample of portraits are: "Lady Agnew" (after Singer Sargent); "Yury"; "Kay"; "Concierge" (friendly marmot deep in the High Sierra); "Lavendar Lips"; "Jennifer"; and "Henri Sturgis Drinker" (after Cecilia Beaux).
