Hi Dave, I was born and raised in South Bend, IN. My father had one paternal sister and they are still alive and residing in South Bend. Their father passed away in 1918. To my knowledge, my grandfather had one brother (Walter Grodzicki) who lived in Chicago but has also passed away. I do not believe Walter had any children. I have four sisters and one is still named Grodzicki. Good Luck with your web site!

It's a very common Polish name and you may find that there are more of us than one might think.
Who and where are you and how did your quest get started ? My sister has done some research on our family history and may be willing to share. She thinks that our first relative in the US fought in the civil war. I would not be surprised if there is more than one link between Poland and the US.I have a brother named Gary and 2 sisters. Grandparents on father's side moved to Miami Fl. in the 1930's. We grew
up there. Have since been scattered to the winds. I will copy this to my sister and see how busy she is.

Hi, How uncommon is that for someone to share my same last name and not be related to me directly. I am 22 years old. My Grodzicki family all reside in Michigan. (Livonia and Dearborn.) My Uncle is I'm guessing 57 or 58 and my father is 54. My grandma Grodzicki is still alive and will be celebrating her 84th birthday in September. My grandfather Grodzicki passed away before I was born in the early 70ies. Where I come from Grodzicki = Teacher!! There are 5 of us school teachers. It was great to hear from you.

Hi Dave,
When I first saw your email, I thought that it was from my own brother Dave. I live in Waterford, Michigan and am 38 years old. I have two brothers: Kevin & David. My father's name is Gerald and his parents (my grandparents) were Theodore & Genevieve. We have always been from the Michigan area - as far as I can remember. I have met another Gregory Grodzicki (non-related) from the Farmington Hills, Michigan area.
It's pretty cool to hear of folks with the same last name (since it's pretty unique).

well hello,
It isnt every day you find someone with the same last name like ours. I am 32 years old, married, and have two boys. Curtis is 8 and kyle is 4. My Grodzicki family is also from Nanticoke, Penn. Im sure we will be able to figure out who is who. My Grandfather was Edward Grodzicki (sr.). My dad is Edward Grodzicki. He was always known as Junior(not bad for a man of about 6ft3in...(lol) ) From what I know...Edward Sr.(my grandfather) had 3 brothers...Ted (thadious)...Max (maxamillan)...Mitchell. I think Ted had 2 daughters named..Betty and Jeanie and Mitch had 2 sons named Norman and Jerry. My dad(Edward jr.) also mentioned a cousin Bernie that was a barber and who had been in the Navy. It will be interistiog to find out who belongs to who. With a name like Grodzicki you know that there will be a match somewhere, you just have to look hard enough. My dad was very interisted about your contact and wants me to also forward you his email and telephone number so you can contact him as well. they just moved from Bethesda,Maryland to Charles Town,West Virginia. Wow...I almost deleted your message without reading it because I thought it was an ad of some kind. I'm glad I didn't delete it! I live in Denver, CO, but my family lives in Kansas City. My grandfather on my dad's side passed away four years ago, and his name was John Grodzicki. He lived his life in the St. Louis area, and had four sons. I haven't done a lot of genealogy research, but it is interesting. I imagine we must be related. With a name like ours, you can nearly always identify the telemarketers! They massacre our name. I've got a picture of me...I'll attach it. Are all of your ancestors in Pennsylvania? I visited Krakow several years ago, but I don't know if that's where my ancestors in Poland lived or not. I used to live in London and so Poland wasn't too far away from there.
I'm 32 and single. I am a corporate trainer and am looking for work, actually. Do you know where your grandparents lived? Thank you for the e-mail!

We are a whole family of Grodzicki's here in Michigan (and Florida) We are Jerry & Lynn Grodzicki, Jerry is the son of the late Theodore & Genevieve Grodzicki. We have 3 married sons: Kevin Grodzicki, Gregory Grodzick, and David Grodzicki. They have produced 5 grandsons: Shane, Paul, Nicholas, Alex and Austin Grodzicki.
