I am a member of the Class of 1965. Jesuit is "THE" High School in the Metropolitan New Orleans area, academically, athletically and otherwise. In 1847 the mission of the Jesuit priests was to to create "an outstanding institution for the education of young men"; that mission has succeeded for 150 years, 1997 marked the 150th anniversary of Jesuit High School.
My two oldest sons, Louie & Cory, graduated in 1987 and 1988 respectively, and my youngest son, David, is in the Class of 2001.

        Tulane University     Class of 1969.
        School of Engineering
I received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering on June 2, 1969. The late 60's were a great time to be in college. Although the engineering curriculum required a great deal of study time, there was still plenty of time for fun. If the football game was not entertaining, the fans had their own entertainment in the stands at Tulane Stadium.

Pi Kappa Alpha Crest        My first days at Tulane in the fall of 1965 were one week after Hurricane Betsy hit New Orleans; with the city in utter devastion, I started college life with fraternity rush week and one party after another. I pledged and was initiated into Eta Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Pi Kappa Alpha Pin        In my college days the voting age was 21 and the drinking age was 18; we couldn't vote, but we didn't care. The two gastronomical lessons I learned from fraternity life are (1) root beer and bourbon do not mix, particularly when eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and (2) after drinking Hurricanes all night at Pat O'Brien's, don't eat a plate of red beans and rice at 3:00 a.m. in an attempt to sober up.

        School of Law

While employed as a mechanical engineer at American Cyanamid Co., I attended Loyola Law School Evening Division. I received my Juris Doctor Degree on May 19, 1974, with Law Review Honors. My Law Review publication was "Obscenity 1973", 20 Loyola Law Review 159. Since I worked all day, attended classes at night and studied in my spare time, my fondest memory of law school was passing the bar exam.
