Wolf Products and Services
CARBURETORS- Wolf Enterprises is now the largest Corvair Carburetor business in the WORLD. I rebuild 500 to 600 of them a year, including the Rochesters and Carters. I also handle hundreds of classic and muscle car carbs, and will do your import or motorcycle units when I can fit them in. They look better than new when completed and are guaranteed to work and perform better than new, no questions asked. I will also buy your rebuildable cores and carburetor parts. You can send your cores later for a rebate if you need to keep your car on the road. Turn around is usually about a week, depending on the amount of work needed. I offer FOUR levels of Rebuilt Carburetors for the Corvair:
STANDARD - This is for the budget minded owner, and comparable in appearance to others on the market. Priced from $139 to $199 a pair.
PREMIUM - This is our most popular unit, with more new parts and recoloring standard. Priced from $159 to $239 a pair. The picture on the webpage shows how they will look. The Carter YH for the Spyder comes in this level at $194 to $269.
RESTORED - For the concours minded collector. This level has all the new parts that are available, and is built from specially selected cores and parts. Priced from $199 to $289 a pair. The Carter YH is available in powdercoated low gloss black for $299.
PERFORMANCE - Engineered and designed for those who want the confidence that their engine is performing to it's peak. These carbs have at least 9 flow and performance improvements that bump the stock 80 CFM units up to 90-100 CFM (depending on your engine). Priced from $199 to $295 a pair.
The above prices show the range for an early ('60-'63) with cores exchanged to lates ('64-'69) without cores. Your cores are worth $40 for a pair of earlies and $50 for a pair of lates. I include the 1964 model in the late category since it is more similar to those years.
I sometimes have NOS carburetors in the $269-$329 a pair price range, so please check if interested. Used carbs can be purchased by the DIY enthusiast for $60-$90 a pair.
Powdercoating Carbs in any color - $125.00/PR New replacment throttle shafts - $18.95/PR Any Corvair Carburetor part - 10-cents to $10.00 Complete 42-piece set of 18-8 stainless steel OEM style fasteners for your Rochester HV - $8.95/pair Complete 12-piece set of 18-8 stainless steel OEM style accelerator link fasteners/washers - $2.99
TURBOCHARGERS - You have just discovered what is probably the most reasonably priced rebuild service for the Corvair Spyder Rayjay Turbocharger. While you can expect to pay somewhere between $400-$700 at most places, my price is a mere $149 plus any needed parts other than gaskets. If your unit needs a new carbon seal unit it will probably still come in under $300.
PARTS - I have over 400 new, used, and NOS parts for Corvairs that are priced at least 40% below just about everyone else. This is not my favorite part of the business and I am trying to liquidate most items, so act quickly as I don't intend to replenish things except those that support my core business of fuel and air systems.
PERFORMANCE PARTS - I stock NOS aftermaket hop-up kits for Corvairs, including center and side mounting 2 and 4 BBL carbs and manifolds. I can provide a bolt on and go kit - cleaner, carb, linkage and manifold for around $400. You can have a Carter, Holley, Rochester, Weber, or SU on your classic Corvair. Horsepower gains of up to 50% with no other work (except dual exhuast and air cleaners) are possible. I also have some exotic Ford stuff that will work on your 351C and others, as well as some VW performance parts.
LITERATURE - I have over a Thousand old car magazines, ads, shop manuals, brouchures, etc. Just about everything ever written about the Corvair and Pantera. Included are Automobile Quarterlies from No. 1 to Number 30 (and one of the few aftermarket reference guides on all the articles). ****Sample Pricing**** GM Corvair Shop Manuals $10.00-$20.00 GM Corvair Shop Supplement $4-$8 Owners Manual, any year, original - $5.00
SCALE MODELS - I stock over 1000 Vintage Scale Models in all scales that were produced from the 1950's to the '90's. They come in Mint, Built, and Restorable condition. Most are still in their original boxes. I have over 50 excellent Dealer Promos of all types. My Diecast inventory is also growing (HotWheels, Matchbox, Gorgi, Structo, Hubley, Tootsietoy, etc.) ****Sample Pricing**** Mint-In-Box 1960 AMT 1:25 Corvair - $95.00 Used Hubley Diecast Corvair Wagon - $15.00 Mint 1965 Corsa Coupe 1:32 Diecast- $45.00 Corvair Dealer Promo, 1960 Sedan - $49.00 Many colors to choose from
ADVICE - Free and Plentiful. If you are having carburetor (or related) problems, feel free to call and let's see if we can figure out what's wrong, or not.
