Years ago I came across this charming little coin purse pattern. I've made many of them to the delight of the little ladies of my family and friends.

When I'm introduced in a crowd!
Ch 28, dc in 6th ch from hook. (This will be your 1st space). *Ch 1, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch.
Repeat from *. There will be 12 spaces, Ch 4, Turn.
Dc in top of next dc. *Ch 1, dc in top of next dc. Repeat 10 times. Ch 1, Skip 1 ch, dc in next
ch. (12 spaces). Chain 4. Turn.
Repeat row 2 until there are 28 rows. Ch 1. Turn. To finish edge - sc in space, *sc in top of dc,
ch 3 sl st in first ch to make a picot, sc in next sp, sc in top of dc. Sc in next sp. Repeat from * 5
times, 5 sc in next sp (corner). To finish around purse, 3 sc in each of next 5 spaces. Bring
other end up to meet next dc. Working over both pieces 3 sc in each space to corner, 5 sc in
corner. Working up other side 3 sc in each space to corner. Fasten off.
Using a 1" bone ring, make 2 sc in ring, ch 28. With flap folded over in place go through the
space and *Sc in the space on the top edge of the front piece, ch 28, Sc in bone ring, ch 28, go
through next space and repeat from *11 times ending with ch 28 and sc in bone ring until ring is
covered. Fasten off.
MATERIALS:
Use Size 8 Metal Crochet Hook, 1 Ball "Grosheen" Thread, 1" Bone

Even though the pattern called for thread I made some of these with yarn and made them
different sizes. They are easy, so just play around and see what suits you the best. If you come
up with something really clever let me know so I can pass it on!
