H6459 Mother Page

This page is in memory of my mother, Evelyn Frances McFarland Hamilton.  She went to meet God and my father on Dad's birthday, July 11, 1996.  In the past two years my sisters and I have had to deal with her loss and the settling of her estate.  But I must say everything a mother should be was in my mother.  She was the forever understand mom, even when I painted my walls that really bright blue................... and when my older sister came home with a notice she was getting married in 3 days.   Or when my other sister got married and moved away for a while.  Mom was there for us, she patched our boboos, dried our tears and talked to Dad when we couldn't get him to listen. And made every day fun and exciting.  I miss talking to her every morning and having her call the last thing at night to wish me plesant slumber.  OH I carry on these conversations in my mind but I miss her hugs that made everything feel safe and all right.

Oh, yes I remember the times I stood in the corner, I think it was harder on Mom than Me,

I usually got a hug as soon as I said I was sorry, Mom just wanted us to admit when we were wrong, she said that was a big step.

After I became a Mom I finally understood what She ment, it is hard to correct a child when they look like little angels, even though you know they have horns supporting their halo"s. (smile)

Then there are the GrandMothers they are Mothers with extra KID appeal!  For if a parent ever said NO GrandMa would say Yes!  Mother said she couldn't wait to hit the grandmother stage, casuse she couldn't wait to spoil her grandkids!

I remember the first ceramic doll I ever had.  Mom bought it at the hospital.  My grandfather was ill and wasn't expected to make it, my mother spent all her time at the hospital.  But for my birthday she bought me, Betsy, my doll. she was all hand crafted and had the most beautiful dress.  It's been 29 years but I still love her.

AH, the steps of our lives.  We falter on them sometimes, but as we grow we learn we can climb them.  Some of these steps are in the stairway of our lives.  We all take these steps as we grow up, but it is the memories that keep them fresh in our mind.

Our mothers watch us take these steps and glow because they know they have helped us to learn and grow.   Thanks Mom!

SO now it is Mother's Day.  I am late getting this on the net,  Mom would say I had taken the long way around doing it again. (smile)  BUT Mom if you get the web in Heaven, this is for you, for all your hugs, But it is so hard to talk about her  in a pass sense, because to me she is right here right now.  I guess that is her greatest gift she gave us.  Her Unconditional love, that will keep us wraped in her warm loving arms forever.  Thanks Mom..............................

Please E-Mail me if you liked this page, I am still havin trouble getting a guest book to work, but I will keep trying.h6459@aol.com
