Elk Creek Miniature Horses.
Appaloosas and Pintos are our specialty.
Our two outstanding herd sires are:
* TOYHORSE PANTHER English import, a gorgeous leopard appaloosa measuring only 31.75". He has the nicest temperament of any mini I have ever handled and is passing it on to his get. We are getting over 75% appy color from him and as well as balanced, small size. And his foals are all as sweet, manageable and friendly as he is. We are offering for sale several nice mares bred to Panther for 2001 foals starting at $2500, as well as his gorgeous yearling son, Elk Creek Chewbaca (see below).Panther is also for sale to a very special home, only. $10000.
* ELK CREEK BLACK PEPPER Our very refined, ink black son of Little Kings Napoleon (black/white pinto) out of our lovely red and white pinto mare, Scott Creek's Calypso. Pepper is only 28.5", very short coupled, with a gorgeous arch to his neck and a beautiful head. He has produced very small, refined foals with lots of pinto color. Pepper is not for sale but we have several quality mares bred to him for sale, starting at $2500.
This year we are offering one of Toyhorse Panther's nicest stud colts for sale:
* ELK CREEK CHEWBACA is a lovely refined bay with appy blanket and spots. His dam is very small Komoko and Dell Tera breeding. Chewbaca was foaled 4/28/99 and is presently 29.5", very short coupled with a lovely dish face and large eye. He is easy to handle and has has numerous wins including a Grand Champion, all from the yearling and multi-colored stallion classes this season. Chewbaca has tremendous herd sire potential. Put a little color in your herd. $4000. Terms available.
* ELK CREEK PRINCESS LEIA our lovely pintaloosa yearling filly sired by Toyhorse Panther, is a great example of the wild color and balanced conformation Panther is producing for us. Her dam is our lovely Elk Creek Izzabelle, (Brewers Sterling Dyna Mite x Scott Creek Calypso). Leia will be our companion, pet therapy, parade and cart horse. She has also started her show career with a fist full of ribbons. Never have we been so amoured by a little horse. "She walks in beauty as she goes."
All our horses are double registered AMHA/AMHR.
* ELK CREEK LUKE SKYWALKER is an outstanding pintaloosa yearling stallion sired by Elk Creek Black Pepper. We expected the pinto, but only found the appy spots after we clipped him. Surprise! His pinto dam goes back to the famous pintaloosa, Orion Light Vant Huttenest! So we have this tiny little stallion with exquisite conformation, very credible background, pintaloosa coloring, that we can now breed to our Panther daughters! Good things come in small packages. Incidently, his dam is bred back to Pepper for a 2001 foal, and is for sale for $3500.
