HAUNTED BY WATERS, Like the Dust
Mere adjectives are inadequate to describe the ethereal qualities of this
particular recording. Primitive rhythms collide with modern sounds to form
an intriguing, sensual mix of musical worlds. Exotic percussion instruments
such as the tabla and djembe provide the foundation for co-founder/guitarist
David Hannibal's effects-laden fretwork and Cait McWhir's caressing vocals.
Top-notch production and instrumental performances suggest that the quintet
have been around the musical block more than once...
