My Family HeritageThe picture is of John Elijah Poole. At age of 33, he was killed in a coal mine explosion in Dayton, Tn. The Poole's originally came from England. This was my Grandfather.

My AncestorsMy grandfather married Julia Donahoo. She always said she was "Black Dutch". It has taken me some time to realize what Black Dutch was. My other grandfather was Henry Harrison McNelly - a full-blooded Irishman. With the temper to match. He married Mary Louella Hudson. The Hudson's, which I have been unable to connect with yet, were probably English.
