For the 2nd year in a row Hess has issued a truck and racer. This one is a box type 18 wheeler with the race car located inside the trailer. The car can be seen through windows on both sides of the trailer. The truck looks really nice with the lights on. In addition to head, tail, and running lights, there are also lights on the inside of the trailer which light up the race car inside. The big Hess logo on each side of the trailer also lights up. In addition to the lights on the truck, this is the first of the racers that have lights. The head and tail lights of the porsche style racer are operated by a switch on the bottom. It uses (2) 'A76' watch batteries. The box contains pictures of the truck and car parked next to a Hess gas station. The bottom contains battery installing, car ramp operation, and racer operating instructions. In addition, there is also an instruction card in the box showing how to replace the batteries in the racer.
