WELCOME!!!!!

You have found my simple page dedicated to French Beaded Flowers!

Please be patient while all the pictures load
(I hope you will feel it is worth the wait).

I began trying to learn this artform in the spring of '99. Without much information out there, and with all of the really good instruction books long out of print..this has been no easy feat! However, I perservered and am so glad I did! These flowers are quite addictive :-P
I truely am obsessed with anything having to do with French Beaded Flowers.
Not a day goes by that I am not thinking about beading a new and different type of flower, and I look at live flowers and arrangements in a whole new light!!!

Not much is known on exactly when, or where this artform began. There are tracing's of the flowers dating back to the 1500's.One version is that the artform began with the peasants in europe, who after the harvest were given the job of sewing beads onto the royals clothing, so as not to be idle in the winter months. Beads being a valuable trade item, they would keep the misshappen, oblong beads and soon began stringing them on wire and forming flowers that they would use in church decorations and processions, funeral's and bridal bouquets. In France it became quite popular to make beaded mourning wreaths decorated with beaded flowers to hang on gravesites.
Beaded flowers soon became a very popular home item during the victorian times. Beaded flowers have been found in the personal collections of the likes of Napolean's Josephine up to Princess Grace.

Again, I hope you enjoy my flowers as much as I have enjoyed making them and sharing them.

Stop by frequently as I am constantly updating the page with my latest works, and piece's I am especially proud of.

Most of what you are looking at is self explanetory, however I am particularily proud of the phaleanopsis orchids. I have been on an orchid "kick" since just before my wedding when I designed my first pattern. My latest orchid plant is the lavender one shown below (close up). The white one I made for grandmother ;-).

I am also particularily proud of my Bridal Bouquet, which I made
(over the course of several months) for our BIG DAY on 08/26/00 !! It will certainly be a nice keepsake for our children someday...

Make sure to check out the SWAROVSKI crystal beaded flowers sections below. Click on the lavender box and check out the one of a kind flowers loveingly made out of the finest crystals available. !!
