Welcome to Lenny's Firefighting Page. I am a retired member of the Holyoke Mass Fire Dept. Local 1693 on 9/11/06. I was a member for 27 years. I am also a retired member of the Belchertown Mass Fire Dept., where I was a member for 12 years and a retired member of the Massachusetts District Four Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team, serving as a member for 16 years. On March 20th, 2003, I recieved a Medal of Commendation for rescuing a 14 year old boy from a fire on Feb. 20th, 2003. I also recieved a Company Citation ( April 28th, 2003) and EMS First Responder of the year (May 20th, 2003) for bringing a person back to life using a defribrilator. I had a great career and I am going to miss it terribly.
