George Boutwell Signed Lithograph - Used Cars
"USED CARS" This is a flashback to my teenage years when I spent a lot of time hanging out on Used Car Lots. This accumulation of memories portrays several of the cars Martha and I drove; our first date was in a 1950 Chevrolet, we had a 1950 Studebaker when we married and drove a 1957 Pontiac when our children were babies. I dedicate this painting to the late Jack Mason of Austin who sold me numerous Used Cars on credit with only my promise to pay and always took them back in trade when they couldn't be repaired. - GEORGE BOUTWELL

Bulova Accutron Astronaut 14K gold Bezel
All original Astronaut in 14K gold-filled case with a 14K solid gold bezel. Caliber 214 movement employs a tuning fork to keep time. The crown is on the back with the battery hatch. Original Accutron signed strap with the Accutron emblem on the clasp. Rotating outer bezel with 24-hour markers and the ‘coin edge’ is still in good condition. Bulova built these watches in the 60’s and 70’s, and their movements were also used in the Explorer VII satellites. Serial number 20485 M6 (manufacture date 1966), and very rare in this condition. RARE ACCUTRON ASYMMETRICAL D WATCH
This is perhaps the rarest of the Accutron tuning fork watches. Very unique and unusual asymmetrical style stainless steel case with original matching stainless steel band. Buckle has the large style Accutron logo. Case and band are in excellent condition. Excellent original dark graphite color dial with both day and date window at 3 o'clock. Dial has very fine red lines for trim. (chrome window around day date does not show up well due to reflections even though it is complete and shinny - it is a difficult watch to photograph). Signed Accutron tuning fork movement (Cal 2181). Signed crown at 4 o'clock. Date code is N1 for 1971.

Bulova Accutron Factory Skeletonized Spaceview
Rare Factory Skeletonized Accutron. Model 2181, this watch was manufactured in 1969 (M9), and is very nice. 14k gold filled case, mint textured dial and hands. Please note the rare black Accutron marked second hand. Date window at 3:00, signed Accutron tuning fork movement (Cal 2181) and signed crown at 4 o'clock. The case has a few scratches as any 31 year old watch would show.
Has a nice 10k gold filled Kisten made USA band and gold filled deployment buckle. Watch was recently serviced and runs properly. If you are looking for a RARE FACTORY SKELETONIZED Accutron in nice condition, then this watch may be for you. I found no wear-through on the watch but I did not take the band off and look between the lugs. An outstanding addition to any Accutron collection. $899 obo

* Unique and Unusual Chicken Ranch Token * SOLD
This brass token probably dated to the 1950’s and was minted to advertise the Chicken Ranch Brothel in La Grange, Texas. The front reads, The Chicken Ranch La Grange Tex, and the back shows two hearts with the words GOOD FOR ALL NIGHT. It was unlikely the establishment honored this token but was minted for entertainment or advertisement purposes only. *SOLD*
The Chicken Ranch was open for 35+ years until closed down in the late 60’s by the Sheriff of Fayette County, Texas. Marvin Zindler was a TV Newsman from Houston looking to make a name for himself. He was an egotistical "big mouth" and obviously the spokesperson for all morality! I believe the La Grange Sheriff got his notoriety for punching Zindler in the mouth as Zindler tried to overwhelm the Chicken Ranch with cameras, etc. I was told they were permitted to remain open for so many years because they always paid their taxes and employed the local law enforcement to keep the piece but finally succumbed to changing times.
A Broadway play and later a movie starring Dolly Parton was made telling the colorful story of the Chicken Ranch entitled The Best Little Whore House in Texas. This token measures 38mm (about 1 1/2 inches) and is made of brass. A braded string FOB is placed through a small hole at the top. A small stain on the front at 4:00 and a couple of scratches on the back only adds character to this rare piece. I have not seen another.
