HMCM Jack E Cole, Jr Home Page

In 1973, I started C*C Systems and Software as a part time venture to meet State of California vocational teacher certification requirements. Starting in 1991, after returning from Desert Storm, I began consulting full time under this business name. This company works with several others on various projects in the computer arena. Collectively, we have a wide variety of skills on many types of computer systems and are willing to discuss any computer related project. For the last few years, I have also worked in the field of forensic genealogy.

In my spare time, I teach and perform Scottish Country dancing with several NY groups - the Cameron Dancers, the Loch Leven Dancers, the Mary Morrison Dancers and the Scotia Dancers. In addition, I have been on staff at the Thistle School of Scottish Country Dancing for many years. My wife Ann and I also teach Scottish Ceilidh dancing which is very popular for weddings and parties. My interest in Scottish dance and music led to the founding of Scotia Dance and Music.

Why HMCM@aol.com?

When AOL finally allowed us to choose screen names, I picked HMCM since the Navy Reserve had been such an important part of my life.

The designation HMCM is a Navy rate (rank) that stands for Master Chief Hospital Corpsman. This tells a job designation (Hospital Corpsman) as well as level of seniority (Master Chief or paygrade E-9).

In my 33 years of Naval Reserve service, I worked my way up from SR (Seaman Recruit) to HMCM. During my last 18 years I was assigned to Marine Corps units as a Fleet Marine Force (FMF) corpsman, hence the picture of the Iwo Jima Memorial. One of the figures in this monument is a Navy Corpsman.
