Inner City
Ski Club
Inner City Ski Club (formerly
the Inner City Ski Bums) is a family oriented ski club
founded in 1971 in Cleveland, Ohio. There are currently
around forty members. Monthly business meetings are held
during the ski season, usually at Cleveland
Heights-University Heights Library. Ski outings include
one and two day trips to surrounding ski resorts and
participation in the NBS Annual Midwest Regional meeting,
NBS Biennial Summits and Mini-Summits, and the CMSC race
program.
A major event that reflects the
clubs interest and commitment to introducing skiing to
youngsters in urban areas is the Annual Bob White Ski
Venture which is held at Boston Mills on a Saturday in
January or February.
In addition to ski outings, the
Ski Bums picnic and party together at various functions
throughout the year. Membership intake is late summer or
fall, followed by a Fitness Party in October or November.
There is usually a Holiday Party, a bowling party, a trip
to the race tracks and other family, fun-filled
activities. Membership information can be obtained from
