Replace the timing plug with the clear plastic plug and then place the suction cup end of THE TIMING TOOL against the lense of your timing light. Start the bike and follow the normal timing procedure except it no longer is necessary to point the timing light at the timing mark. Just look into the clear plug while your pressing the trigger on the timing light. What you'll see is what you want to see. No glare at all. In fact the light appears to originate from inside the motor.
