About HopeHaven Farm pg5
HopeHaven Farm is a small, family operated facility located in rural Isle of Wight County, Virginia.  We are established on 30 acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodlands in which we enjoy the serenity it provides.

There are miles upon miles of peaceful trails through the woods surrounding the farm, most of it off road which comes in handy when we take our green horses out for their first trail ride, course, there's not to many people that like coming out to our sparsely populated neck of the woods. The farmers around our area also allow us to ride in their fields, in the off season of course.

The farm facilities consist of a 72x32ft barn consisting of 9 stalls and foaling stall, indoor washrack and tackroom/feedroom with an additional 14x20 storage out back for the "extra" horse items, 60ft roundpen with lights, 180 x 220 ft sand arena (with lights for night riding in the works) and plenty of grazing fields w/ shelters in each.

Alot of folks ask us where we came up with a name like "HopeHaven".  Our answer is relatively simple in that we just have ALOT of hope in this farm (not to mention alot of up and coming hopefuls in the performance arena!)

Currently, we have 9 horses on the farm. We have 5 barn freeloaders who'd rather wait on me to feed them rather than catch mice, our  Siamese cats, Matlock and Mason who think THEY own the farm, our sheltie/pomeranian mix Dobby and our miniature pinscher, Hermonie and recently added Australian Shepherd, Phoenix.  Cheyenne did have a  pet rooster, named Cheepers, but after 3 years of eluding the fox, the fox finally outsmarted him.

We are visited quite often by the wildlife around us.  The deer enjoy sharing the pastures with the horses (and eating anything I plant), we have several foxes who roam the farm looking for scraps and the infamous skunk "Pepi", who once thought he'd take up residence in the barn! We also have breathtaking sightings of bald eagles flying over the farm.
At one time our farm did offer foals for sale to the public, however we've since decided to take it a little easier and enjoy riding and showing our horses along with supporting our children in their various venues and spending time together as a family.  Any foals that we do have here at HopeHaven will be our own show prospects.  We'd like to thank our past clients who bought horses from us or have sent their horses to us for training.  We wish you continued successes and we will always look forward to updates.  We will still be updating information on our farm and we invite you to keep checking in!
