The Pencil Art of How Gregg

In July of 2004, at the age of 71, I decided to try my hand at freehand drawing after a earlier career in Engineering. The drawings on this site are the result. The drawings in the galleries below are in the order they were originally completed. Each drawing includes an explanation as to why that subject was selected.

The original artwork was done primarily on 11 x 14 - 70 lb. acid free paper using graphite drawing pencils with some in colored pencil. Recent additions include brush work with watercolor pencil on 11 x 15 - 140 lb. acid free watercolor paper. Drawings made both in color and in graphite pencil are separate drawings made from the same original sketch.

The gallery prints are 50% reduced copies for fast Internet downloads.
