In the early to mid 1950's I served on this ship. It was towed to Hong Kong for scrap in 1959.
The drawing  is a composite from many photos taken off the Internet.

In September of 2003 we attended a Navy Escort Carrier Convention in Norfolk, VA.
This statue is near the USS Wisconsin at the Nauticus Center. downtown.
It is a copy of an original in Washington.

In May 2003 we visited Richmond, Va. and went to the gardens.
I named the flower  for a neighbor who got me started drawing when she
gave me a box of colored pencils.

I thought this was a neat picture. It is from the front of a travel brochure and is the
Summer Palace grounds in what was Peking.

A neighbor worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad in the 1940's and
fired a locomotive just like this one.

Ihe last remaining screw pole lighthouse in service on the bay, it is just below Annapolis.
We have toured  two othersat Solomons, Md. and St. Michaels, Md.
in local bay area museums
