Feb, 2007: The United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association has determined that Hearts & Ears is a unique and model mental health support program for disenfranchised populations that should be replicated in other cities/states, and invited us to be part of a National Site Visit conducted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

Hearts & Ears joined members of the Homeless Community on December 21st 2006 at City Hall War Memorial Plaza 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. "for it's Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. Homelessness effects millions of people on a daily basis and we here at H&E Inc support those who are without shelter because it affects the GLBT homeless community just as well.

We stronly encourage GLBT mental health consumers to get out of isolation and become an active member in the larger GLBT community. The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center has many groups and activities happening. Please see the GLCCB Center page for a listing. the GLCCB also has a Cyber Center for you to use.
