The First Jewish Pope
Well, well, you've either been linked here by
a friend, been directed here by one of my other sites, or simply wandered in
here through a search engine. But perhaps you don't understand what it is you're
doing here. A Jewish Pope? Does that make sense? Of course not. Which is the
basic theme of my script: Things that don't make sense. (Some of the other
themes include: "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large
numbers" and "The hokey-pokey really is what it's all about!")
I guess by now you're wondering what on earth a movie with a title like mine
could be about. It's really the story of one man's heroic triumph over rational
thought. I'll give you a very, very brief plot synopsis:
Murray Goldberg feels that the world is
falling to ruins due to the lack of good leadership. In order to right the
wrongs, he runs for Pope. This obviously doesn't sit well with the Catholics,
but Murray eventually overthrows the current Pope and assumes his title. With
the help of his sidekick, the android Candace, he creates plenty of jolly
disorder.
But, I think I've said too much. If you want
the full, mind-blowing (hehehe... I said "mind") effect of the script, I suggest
you read the scripts for the trailers first.
And now for my final thought. This script is probably evil, I'll make no
denial. If you're from the Legion of Decency or any other religious order, you
don't need to tell me that this script was probably coughed up from the bowels
of hell. Believe me, I know. The lack of respect for all religions, the constant
ethnic stereotypes, and the blatant (and believe me, they're all pretty
darn blatant!) copyright infringements may be sick and wrong. It may be the tool
of Satan herself. Well, enjoy!
I already read the
first trailer... show me the second one!
That was fantastic! What's in store for the sequel?
Thanks to: Evan Grysko and Dave Lanza, for helping
to come up with many of the jokes from this script, Mike Buenvenida, for
assisting in the molding of my sense of humor. God, for giving me this sense of
humor (I'm sure his is better [I hope...]), Jessica Rossi, for
helping to support me creatively and acting as a sounding board even when my
ideas were really bad (which was often) for all those stories and poems I wrote
in the past. These people helped me to grow and develop creatively, forming the
misshapen lump of gray matter which cooked up this script. And everyone else
who's helped to make me who I am today.
