Joe Arriola Lopez, is the father of Rita, they rode their horse in all the major parades. Uncle Joe was also known as "King of the wild parties' he was a famous singer, played the guitar and sang at the Orange Show, also at the Los Angeles Co Fairand they were also members of Los Charros. Rita's children, Marsha, Antonio, and Joseph were all Folklorico Dancer's, her drand daughter Stephanie, Marsha's daughter also dances.
Anita Rivera Arriola was a singer in Los Angeles she performed in a duet on stage and sang at radio stations in the Los Angeles area including KFXM here in Sa Bernardino CA. Anita also sang at benifits and with Mariachi's.
The Juarez Arriola brothers took their guitars strapped to their shoulders and played where there was a good party. Saul was so inspired at the age of 5 when he heard Uncle Joe play his guitar and sing. Saul says, he started to cry it was so beautiful. The brother's would have jam sessions at the house and brother Danny would jump in as a singer.
Blanca Diaz Cortez and Consuelo Martinez Cortez where also folklorico dancers and very famous in Colorado. The rest of the Cortez family here dressed for the annual State Fair in Colorado their home state. Not pictured here are the ten children of Consuelo Arriola Mejia and Jesus Cortez, the girls sang and the boys played guitars. Mary, Jovita and Alice sisters, sang at major functions around the Pueblo Colorado area.
The older pictures Manuel & Ylaria are my Godparents as well as my aunt and uncle for they were husband and wife. Manuel also played guitar. These pictures have the names as done in Mexico so family from Mexico viewing this site will know who is who. When it came to some grand and greats I just listed ther names and from the family clan they are from.
