Annissa must have been born with a sticker that reads: "Girls kick butt." She's very advanced and impresses everyone with her intelligence and sense of humor. Although she has not reached her full potential in speech yet, she communicates in English, Spanish and ASL (American Sign Language), sometimes combining all 3. She currently knows 24 out of the 26 letters of the alphabet (she chooses to skip W and Y). She recognizes numbers 0 through 9, but will count up to 18 with some help. She knows both primary and secondary colors; however, she will refuse to name purple even though she will point at it when asked. She loves puzzles, drawing and writing. She has written 5 letters up to date: A, i (lower case, and she was very emphatic about dotting it), O and U (her two favorites) and C. She has also drawn a star, naming it. She's very limber and has the makings of a contortionist. Annissa is very affectionate with everyone, specially her baby sister, Jamie, whom she calls, "Mamie-mamie." Like Aaron, she loves to sing and dance, and can name all Bear in the Big Blue House characters, some in Sesame Street (right now she's obssessed with Elmo) and Book of Pooh.
