Better Dumbbells for Schutzhund Training |

In
the course of Schutzhund training we have found a need for a better
dumbbell. So we took it upon ourselves to design and engineer a
better dumbbell. A dumbbell with a removable bite bar. Why
buy another dumbbell when you can replace the bar for about half the cost of a new dumbbell?
A very unique feature of these dumbbells is the ability to remove one of the heads (as shown in picture below right) and practice with your dog. This will vastly improve your dog's bite, sureness of grip and confidence by retrieving and holding an object that is off-balance. The dumbbells are more narrow when viewed from the front than conventional dumbbells which makes it more steady in the dog's mouth. This is the only Schutzhund dumbbell of its kind. You will not be disappointed. |

These dumbbells are engineered to be both functional and durable. The bite bar is healthy 1 3/4" solid oak to improve durability. It is removable and easily replaceable. The bells or heads are handcrafted individually from solid Ash hardwood. Ash is one of the hardest domestic woods available. It is the same wood used to make baseball bats. These Dumbbell heads are coated with a mineral spirit based oil instead of linseed oil. Other dumbbells are coated with linseed oil or paint which are petroleum distillates. The bite bar is not coated to further ensure the animals do not come in contact with any chemicals. Feedback has been received from customers stating these are far too nice for training. If that is the case, these dumbbells also work nicely as bookends and paper weights! Show your friends and club mates. They are excellent conversation pieces. The dumbbells come in the three standard sizes used in Schutzhund trials: 650g, 1000g and 2000g. Prices have recently been raised due to demand.
