O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female,
and have made you nations and tribes
that ye may know one another.
Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah,
is the best in conduct.
Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.
23:12

Then placed him as a drop (of seed)

Then fashioned We the drop a clot,

so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught.
And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren,
but when We send down water thereon,
it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth).

and hath appointed for him kindred by blood

***Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens*** (Creation)***

Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends

***And man saith:***
When I am dead,
***shall I forsooth be brought forth alive ?*** (resurrection)***

***Doth not man remember that We created him before,***
when he was naught ?

And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them
and the devils,
then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell.

Then We shall pluck out from every sect
whichever of them was most stubborn
in rebellion to the Beneficent.

He coineth for you a similitude of yourselves.
