Two Pianos & Piano Four Hands

In July 1976 Hector Moreno and Norberto Capelli gave their first piano recital as a duo starting an international career notable for their performances as soloists with orchestra, in recitals, records and broadcasts.

The Duo Moreno-Capelli is appreciated by audiences and critics for perfect synchronisation, refined phrasing and brilliant technique which permits a wide and varied repertoire.

As a duo they studied in London at the Royal College of Music with Phyllis Sellick, Bernard Roberts and Colin Horsley, in Paris with Jacqueline Robin and in Florence with Maria Tipo and Alessandro Specchi.

They are frequently invited to take part, as interpreters or teachers, in prestigious international festivals and to record for important broadcasting stations in Europe and North and South America: BBC (London), RIAS (Berlin), RAI (Italy), KRO (Holland), ORF (Austria),

WDR (Cologne), SWF (Baden-Baden), RTSI (Lugano), WETA (Washington), LRA (Buenos Aires), INRAVISION (Bogotà), Radio Nacional de España,etc.

They have recorded severals Cds among them the complete works for 2 Pianos and piano duet by Schumann (Rodolphe), Moscheles and Mendelssohn (Dynamic), Respighi,Casella, Busoni (Dynamic), Guastavino (Marco Polo), Brahms (Arts), Piazzolla, Ginastera (Frame), Schubert (Frame), Milhaud (Frame), Ciaikowsky, Rachmaninoff (Frame). In 2002 the duo recorded there latest CD,”Espana”

As well as their concert performances Moreno-Capelli teach an intensive masterclass program from which many duos of various nationalities have emerged.
