Meet Barbara Roth
Barbara Roth has taught art classes for many years. Her students have ranged in age from preschoolers to seniors. She enjoys helping people develop their artistic and creative abilities. After graduating college she took courses at Art Student's League in NYC, Art Center in Pasadena and Otis Parsons in L.A. She taught English As A 2nd Language to adults in San Diego and Texas. She retired from teaching when she had her daughter, expecting her to sit quietly at her feet while she painted. She was surprised to find this didn't happen. Barbara resumed painting and teaching art classes part time when her daughter entered school and currently teaches painting and drawing classes for Sierra College Community Ed and American River College Community Ed.
She has a degree in Fine Art from UCLA and a teaching credential in Art Education. She loves combining traveling with drawing and painting as well as her family, 3 beagles, cooking and yoga.
