A geology club of some thirty plus years invites you to come to our meetings.
The Indiana Geology Club was known as the NAFI/NAC Geology Club. It has been a long time since our membership was restricted to employees and their families of the Eastside Navy Facility by the requirements of our Welfare and Recreation Committee. Our memberships are open to all and without restriction. We get our money through our dues ($10/address/year). The dues pay for the newsletter, and a small honorariums for guest speakers.
In the past our programs have included the caves, minerals and fossils of Indiana. Our interests are far ranging and are not limited just to geology. We share these interests at our meetings - we even love to look at slides.

HE IS ON THE LOOSE : BEWARE HE MAY BE ON A STREET NEAR YOU!!!!!
Bob was released from Meadow Lakes on Saturday, November 2nd. This post halloween happening is both good and scary to all concerned. And concerned you should be because some prayed for this. BEWARE WHAT YOU PRAY FOR, YOU PRAYERS COULD BE ANSWERED JUST AS YOU ASKED FOR THEM.
Bob is not amazed that he is so weak and all of his muscles hurt (especially the ones that keep you upright) but is dutifully working on strengthening himself. He is able to do full flights of stairs with the assistance of a cane and railing. He is chomping at the bit to drive which scares me due to his weakness, lack of range of motion of his left arm, and neck and the fact that his vision is impaired and probably his reflexes too. But you know how stubborn he is. So if you are going to one of the meetings he usually goes to please offer to take him for the safety of us all.
On the 12th of November he will have another surgery on his left shoulder to release the frozen shoulder. This is expected to be painful and require AGRESSIVE therapy post surgery. I pray that it will be sucessful and he regains use of his left arm ( so he can wash dishes with out complaining), not necessarily so he can drive right away, as that scared me before his fall.
His independence training is going well and this headless chick is running faster than ever. ( haven't gotten out of that costume yet) Please pray for patience for both of us. He will have a cell phone soon so this is fair warning, you will be just a phone call away.
Thanks for all of your past and future prayers and help, all are very much appreciated.
Dee Slater
