Introduction

An Ongoing Genealogical Study of the Acker Family From South Carolina.

The following is as far back as this research could go with our ancestry of the 'Acker' Family. The following nine people are listed as sisters and brothers. Their father and mother are unknown to us at this time. Research will continue to try to fill in as many of the gaps as possible.

The Core Family

Joseph Acker Wilbert Acker Linton Acker Charles Acker Lawrence Acker Herbert Acker Robert Acker Emily Acker Mattison Laura Acker Ivester

As far as we know now, none of these people were slaves. We come from a family of farmers, that were and are good, God fearing people. The pages that follow are a breakdown of these families. This is an attempt to show how we emerged beginning with these nine people
