According to the 1820 Maryland census records, Philip Coker was born sometime before 1775. By 1820 he was living in Caroline Co., MD in a "free colored" household of 2 males (over 45), 1 female (26-45) and 1 female (over 45).
Ennumerated nearby was Patty Coker (age 14-26) living alone and Moses Coker . This strongly suggests a connection between Philip, Patty and Moses and, by extension, Moses' brother, Daniel Coker.
It is highly likely that Philip was the father of Patty, Moses and Daniel although more work must be done to prove the connection. If so, then it is likely Philip was born sometime before 1745.
