Robert Dean was born in Kent Co., DE in 1834 according to the 1850 Kent County DE Census records. He was the son of William Dean and his wife, (Mary) Ann Cork and sometime between 1850 and 1860 he moved to Romulus Twp., Wayne, MI.

William married Angeline (last name unknown) who was born in Delaware in 1837.

(pg. 2, 15-14, 1 June 1870) lists:
Robert Dean, 36, M, M, Farmer , 1200 , 500 , {born} DE
Angeline , 33, F, M, {born} PA
Arvilla, 3, F., M. {born} MI

The family also appears in the 1880 census records but it is not clear if Arvilla was the daughter of Robert and Angelina who are believed to have been childless. There is a possibility that she was the daughter to James H. Dean and Elva A. Fargo, deceased.

Robert Dean died in Romulus Twp., Wayne, MI. 1914. Angelina died in 1896. Both are buried in Romulus.
