Leomond was a farmer who married, first , Elva Carter whose family was from Maryland (possibly related to the mixed blood Kent Co. Carter family). Elva died in 1949. He then married Alberta HARMON from Millsboro, DE.

He and Alberta spent most summers at Alberta's cottage along the Indian River at Oak Orchard in Sussex Co., DE. He died in 1976 and is buried at the Indian Mission Church in Indian River Hundred.
