Here's the news:
Same old same old! Excuses, excuses, excuses! And yes, even more excuses. Life has been. well, life lately. I'm bogged down with family stuff, and my real jobs have left no time for kits. Helping the kids with homework or with their sports and fixing a broken down old house come before kits, which I produce out of love and not for income. So please be patient.
My Cash Store display model is done. Photos below. Instructions are almost done. I've not idea when I'll have time to package kits,even for those of you who said they wold take one without instructions. For an exploded drawing look below. I am taking orders, $85 postpaid in the States. $90 overseas and Canada.
The Strong Enginehouse and Freighthouses are still in stock and I have sold a few. Half the folks that said they wanted one disappeared. Fortunately a few new customers appeared. Get them now as I will not likely never make more.
The Hilton Store will be out in S scale as soon as the of the parts come in. It is now scheduled for sometime in 2009. Sorry for the delays. Until you try out being a manufacturer you'll never quite grasp just how hard this is to do as sideline with a regular job and 5 kids!
The Hilton Store Annex may be out someday. I may have to Stevens Creek Models do the vent castings as C&D never came through for me. Otherwise I'lll sell the kits without vents.
Here's what else is in the pipeline. I'm no longer working on North Whitefield station in HO as BEST Models just came out with it. I may do my own version with correct siding and windows in a few years, though if I had 35 firm orders I'd still do my own version this year. (This has been up for 6 mnths and no one inuired but my regular booster, TH.) I'm still working on the "house across the tracks" at Weeks Mills (photos below) in HO and may get Mt. Blue to do it for me as his new house kits are similar. I've also agreed with Banta Modelworks that we will try do the Hilton Store in O scale someday and possibly the Strong freight shed in S and O
Finances are still tight and sales are VERY SLOW. Kits sold in 2008 so far, 4!
Write to me and let me know what you want to see in my line of kits. The more folks that ask for something the more likely that I'll do it.
