JANE: Works for A-C Electric, cleans the litter box and pool, bathes and "details" the horses for our shows. Jane showed Reesie to become Briarwood Saddle Club's high point adult champion in 2003.

THOMAS (AKA J.T.): Giant 22 pound classic tabby house cat. Doesn't like to be held but loves to be close to us. Gets into bed with us AFTER we've gone to sleep.

Alice, Sister, Lucy and Chester: barn mousers. Very sweet! Alice and Lucy could be twins they are marked so similarly.

"REESIE" (SHE'S MY PRESCRIPTION) 1998 AQHA bay western pleasure and halter mare. Won Mid South Breeders Futurity 1998 when owned by George Garner. Champion halter mare 2002 at Ingrams Mill and Sunset Hills Saddle Clubs, Reserve 2002 and Champion at Briarwood 2003,2004,2005 and 2002 Reserve Halter Champion in SASCA and Champion (S side 2003), 2004, 2005, SASCA SHOW OF CHAMPIONS winner in halter 2004,Spring Show 2005. 2002 Snaffle Bit Champion at Briarwood and Sunset and 2002 Snaffle Bit Champion in SASCA and South Side 2003, Western Pleasure & Walk Trot High Point Placing SASCA 2004 & 2005. Full sister to another MSQHBF champion, Ms Good Golly Molly.

ELEGANT RAIN: 8 y.o. TN Walking Horse. A black beauty and natural flat-shod high-stepper. She racked up awards in Unpadded classes in 2005 at SASCA and Briarwood. After we had Rain for a few months, we had her checked by the vet. because things just weren't quite right. He found her to be in foal and said she was about 8 months along. Thinking she had some time left, we kept showing her and then found a surprise in her stall one morning. Which leads us to:

RAIN'S SHOCK AND AWE: Our three year old. He is so precious and getting sweeter and lovelier each day! We are riding and showing him now.

YES MR. PRESIDENT: Our bay racking horse, a nice bay gelding who is very fast and friendly. Now showing in Country Pleasure and Speed Racking, he was Champion in both this year at Briarwood and was 2005 Speed Racking Champion and High Point Placing Country Pleasure in SASCA. We traced his lip tattoo and found his real name is Holly Hill Superb. We just call him Popeye because he's strong. We had purchased him from our dear friend, the late Leon Morgan, speed racking legend.

CHRISTI JO MCCUE: Retired 31 y.o.AQHA palomino mare. She just eats, eats and looks pretty.

WATCH TAITO JACK: Gray AQHA and NFQHA (foundation) gelding, very precious and will be shown in pleasure classes in 2008.

Goldie: Our yellow lab with 1 blue eye. She is very unique and oh, so sweet!

Our place

We share our 2 ponds with some tame and Canadian geese and some ducks. Our horses graze 10+ acres.
Suburbia is quickly closing in on us here in Olive Branch, MS, and we are vocal about keeping our neighborhood rural and peaceful.

Our interests

The Colns love to fish, swim and ride and show horses. We spend much of our free time together and pursue many of the same interests.

Roy has acquired his dream car, a 1969 Red Plymouth Road Runner 440 SIX PACK and has won a bunch of prizes, including a Mayor's Choice and a Preacher's Choice award.

Jane's toy is a 1986 Corvette convertible. She occasionally writes freelance human interest stories for local papers.
