Born January 17, 1994, Baron achieved his championship quickly.
He went on to be listed by AKC as a national top-ten ranking Curly-Coat.
Baron was awarded his first All-Breed Best In Show by Forrest McCoy when
less than three years old. His second All-Breed Best In Show occurred in
1996 and was awarded by Dr. Richard Spritzer. Baron defeated 1,259 dogs
that day. Baron is the only Curly in the U.S. to achieve multiple All-Breed
Best In Show status. He was awarded an Award of Merit at the 2000 National
Specialty under breeder/judge Mrs. Audrey Nicholls.
Baron loves people and retrieving. He is a fast and diligent
retriever. Every day he insists on playing ball. He is my bed cuddler and
household protector. Baron is now retired from the show ring. His influence
as stud dog is assured, for bred three times, he has produced five champions,
one a group placer. His get follow in his footsteps in retrieving desire
and showy attitudes.
