Janet Edgar's love for writing started in elementary school when she saw her book report published in the school newsletter.
The experience of seeing her written words in print made a powerful impact on her life. She is thankful to God that even when she was a child, He was directing her paths.
The first book of The Marshall Brothers Series, The Inn at Shadow Lake has won numerous writing awards including the Inspirational Category of the Finally A Bride contest sponsored by the Oklahoma Romance Writers of America.
Janet is thrilled to be a member of the Harlequin Steeple Hill family with the Christmas 2006 release of her Love Inspired Suspense.
Married for over thirty years to her high school sweetheart, Janet has two grown children. Prior to working full time on her writing career, she worked as marketing coordinator, radio talk show host, ‘extra’ on a popular daytime television series, and elementary school teacher.
Janet served as Secretary of Faith, Hope and Love, the inspirational chapter of Romance Writers of America. She has also served as newspaper editor of a local RWA chapter and is a member of several more RWA chapters throughout the United States. She is also a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers.
She also hosts a 'book in a week' email loop for Christian authors. Janet's cyber writing retreats to places like beautiful Barbados and heavenly Hawaii have inspired writers to finish a writing project in a week or two of fun, online writing 'vacations'.
Janet and her husband make their home in the Midwest area of the United States where they live in a traditional, southern style house. Janet would love to hear from you! She welcomes you to sign her guestbook which makes you eligible to receive her newsletters and enter her contests.
