Jayton is the little 4 year old who's right arm was ripped off by a tiger while visiting his biological father in the Houston, Texas area.

Jayton's arm is healing as well as can be expected.
he faces atleast three years of extensive surgery and rehabilitation. Doctors do not expect any useable function in his hand until further surgery which should start in about six months.
He is in very good spirits but is very protective of the arm as can be expected.
We are VERY concerned for his mental health, he shows obvious signs of trauma
Jennifer and Lee are holding up very well, they are strong kids and will make it through this ordeal. The tiger owner had no property insurance and he and the father have offered no financial help at this time
The family is finally back in Arkansas and we are as pleased as can be with Dr. Markiewitz. His first steps were to address Jayton's and the rest of the families' mental health.
We have no knowledge of who set up the help funds in Texas, but suspect they are to help others with financial responsibility in this tragic incident.
