Dear Lord, so far today I 've done all right. I haven't gossiped, haven't lost my temper, haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or over indulgent. I'm very thankful for that. But in a few minutes Lord, I am going to get out of bed. And from then on , I'm going to need a lot more help.
Amen.----Anon.

There is a lot going on to my little genealogy bundle. Have added many new ones and now have over 800 people on the list. WOW.
Trying to watch and learn about whales from the middle of the USA is a real challange. I thought a test of patience and endurance, until Sept. '98 when I rode in a Cessna 4 placer and my 3 year old grandson in control. I have added courage to my list of needed virtues.
My adopted child happens to be Kits, a full grown blue whale. I have had my adoption papers for nearly a year now. I was proud to announce this, and happily display my certificate on my wall. Now you have a clue to my screen name Jaywhle. The whle is for whale, one of many loves in my life.
My personal receipe is :
1. Take one smallaircraft and fly over your country side.
2. Be sure you have turbulence (some
wind).
3. Give one 3 yr. old the control of the
craft.
4. Sit tight while he rocks Gram and pilot
side to side to mix well.
5. Take aerial photos (focus if you can)
of your home.
6. When tossed well and felling queasy
then land with pilot in control.
7. Take Grandson aside and explain about rocking and rolling Grandma.
8. Take your copy of airplane ads, search for amphibious aircraft
9. As nightfall settles on your queasy mixture pick up your genealogy papers you laid aside.
10. Put grandson to bed with Elmo and 5ft. stuffed orca whale.
11. Scatter over your desk, click on AOL on your computer, search for your gr. gr. gr. great grandmother.
12. Find genealogy surname look-up site.
13. After riffle through all your notes to find the clue you need to help the site get the info, and you find AOL has signed you off from being idle to long, go to bed.
14.Spend those precious moments before dropping off to slumber land, dreaming of the 2 airplanes you need. Amphibious for whale lover retreat and cargo plane to carry your genealogy research papers.
My favorite quote comes from a man I hardly knew and he repeated it from someone else. I do not know who to give the credit to for this one but here it is anyway.
"I was born with a 12 foot question
looking for a 3 inch answer."
I got news about my "Baby" Kits today December 01,1998. She was seen off Mingan in late September. Wrote me "she has been seen over a 20 year period the longest known blue for the N. Atlantic and the first ever photo identified." That was the best E-mail ever. You know how mama worries about the kids.

The whale finally made it to this site.
May all of the whales make a comeback the world over. Remember many of them are on the endangered species list. They need your help to keep those numbers growing. Watch the whales when you can and enjoy the beauty of the land and the sea.
