Broad Oak Stables is located off of state route 3 near the heart of historic downtown Fredericksburg, National battlefields are within 5 miles and shopping, dining are a must. Privately owned boarding stables provide modern 2002 barnmaster barn with 12X12 stalls with runs on some stalls.  120X80 arena with jumps and 60Ft round pen ideal for training and schooling. Owner, Trainer, Instructor resides on premise. Divided pastures with ample rotation. Oversized stalls available for the large horse for additional fee. Small family run business working with horse industry for over 20 years. Specializing in  show horses, western pleasure, trail, hunt seat , dressage, and jumpers. Leisure riders always welcomed. Military Welcomed!

Board $350 per horse (currently full with waiting list)

Lay up $8 and up  per day. (call for quote)

Lessons (lessons average 1 hour)

$45 per lesson (lesson horses are available)

$35 per ride practice use time on premises. (approval by management req. must be enrolled in Broad Oak Lesson program to qualify)

Full lease of riding horses available for qualified applicants.  Call for availability. 

Training (Western and English)  

$350.00 per month (60 day minimum-discount on board)

Lease Horses

Our lease program is designed to promote horse happy families. Before rushing out a buying your first horse consider leasing. Our leases run month to month. Select a horse from our lease program treat them as yours to ride, care, love and play with them as your own. Our lease horses are also show horses. We offer full lease so you feel as if you own your own horse. All tack and equipment for horse provided.

Full lease program means the horse is yours alone. No sharing no waiting for your assigned day to ride. Full lease $325 per month. All horse related equipment (saddles etc) is provided. You will be responsible for farrier cost during your lease this averages $45 every 6 wks for trims or  $50-75 every 6 weeks if the horse requires shoes. This program is designed for the person ready to buy a horse but not sure of the cost for upkeep and board. 

Ride lease  is at the discretion of the barn manager. Riders must demonstrate a detailed knowledge of horsemanship and possess safe riding skills. Excellent opportunity for students to practice between lessons.   Scheduling must be made 72 hours in advance. Horses may not leave premises without managers permission.  Subject to approval by owner.  $35.00 per ride.  We do not offer ride leases to beginner riders. Must be enrolled in our lesson program.  WE DO NOT OFFER TRAIL RIDES.
