Have you ever had a day when you felt so bad that you just wanted to sit and cry?
When your lack of understanding urges you to look up and anxiously ask God why?
A day when every moment passes with the certainty you can't take a minute more?
Yet the day is no different, no better or worse than it was the day before?
When everything brings dissatisfaction and sorrow, yet you cannot hope to discern,
the cause of the inner anguish that weighs your spirit, no matter which direction you turn?
When God, who dwells so close, seems now beyond far away?
When you cannot fathom what is wrong and you don't know how to pray?
This is when you need prayer the most, although it may not be for you, per se.
Simply phrased, it is an uncommon event known as the burden to pray.
Now is the time to allow the Holy Spirit reign and yield to his command.
Allow him to speak with groans and utterances, with words you cannot understand.
Because someone somewhere needs the Lord's intervention and they may not know someone...or how.
For not all God's children respond with obedience, recognize his voice or know they are needed now.
In a small measure of time your heart will lighten and your burden will abate in a few,
and the peace that surpasses all understanding will surely return to you.
