No matter where I might wander in the paths I create, whether I walk, I run or I crawl,
at any step I can turn and you always will be there to lift me should ever I fall.
As I look forward I know you will be there in the end, as I look back now to see you at my start.
My past is forgiven; my present mistakes a future shadow, of the forgiveness that abides in your heart.
Where I've come from, what I am, are all outward reflections of what I do.
But more important than the outside appearance, is the inside heart, which you always view.
And although I may suffer the consequences of my actions, I know you will never forsake or not care.
For etched in my heart is the promise of your word, that forever will you always be there.
In my days long or short, whether sorrows or joy, I see your love always extend.
Of greater worth than gold is the comfort reaching out from the hand of a treasured friend.
