Dear Band Director:
The Martinsburg (WV) High School Band Boosters are hosting the 27th annual Martinsburg High School Band Spectacular Field Show Competition on Saturday evening, September 17, 2005, at Cobourn Field on the campus of Martinsburg High School. The show is tentatively scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. (depending on the number of bands participating) and is sanctioned by the Tournament of Bands and adjudicated by the National Judges Association.
Awards will be presented as follows:
1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, etc. in Groups I, II, III and IV
Best Band Front in each class
Best Percussion in each class
Best Music in each class
Best Marching and Maneuvering in each class
Best Field Commander(s) in each class
Financial reimbursements to each band will be in the form of tickets as stated in the Tournament of Band bylaws.
We encourage all bands to participate in this quality music festival. Group photography will again be provided by Jolesch Photography.
If our competition fits with your plans, please print out and fill in the enclosed form and return it as soon as possible. Performance order will be in reverse of receipt of registrations (first in, last on).
